Our second full-length album entitled “Comic Books” will be released in July/2022. This new record is going to be the theme of the greatest achievement of our career so far: the Punk Rock Raduno 5 stage. The biggest and coolest Bubblegum Pop/Pop Punk festival in the world will happen between the 14th and 17th of July, in Bergamo, Italy.

Besides that “Comic Books” marks the debut of our new bassist, Juanito Miranda, a familiar face in Curitiba underground bars and pubs. Juanito brings that melodic hardcore and classic punk bass lines to The Yodees new tunes.

The recording and production sessions should have started in the last quarter of 2020, but the covid pandemic postponed our plans. On the other hand, we had more time to create more songs, work on existing lyrics, develop better melodies, and improve solos, which made the new album a lot richer in that aspect, without leaving behind our essence and the main theme of our compositions - girls and everything related to them.

Produced by one of the best producers of the new Brazilian punk rock generation, Davi Pacote from Hill Valley Studios, the album also shows that the band grew musically, not only on the main vocals - now exclusively done by Yudi Iwamoto - but also by doing intense a pre-production before the recording sessions. What once was something kind of unpretentious and made purely for fun, now has the goal to reach higher grounds.

“Comic Books” is the final product of the friendship between four guys, a lot of fun and a little humor. The cover art was made by the ultra-talented Paulo Rocker (www.behance.net/paulorocker) who also was part of the Brazilian band Gramofocas. Hence, get to know, first hand, all tracks of our new album and all the potential that The Yodees has to offer.
